Recent project activities

Virtual Consortium Meeting: 15-17 June
The consortium met to discuss work and updates within WPs 2, 3 and 4, as well as Quality and Dissemination. Discussions included continuing and increasing ToT courses for student centered learning (WP 2), STEM Center development and structures in place at each university (WP 3), and facilitating industry collaboration and engagement (WP 4). All presentations, photos, and recordings can be found in the EASTEM Google Drive here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1bR_9re0kR795VTUnEsDiQsT_gN5N9RAz?usp=sharingư

WP 2:
On 22 June, EASTEM's three Thai partner universities CMU, MUSC and PSU held the first session of a national ToT course online for lecturers in Thailand (in Thai language). The interest for this course has been very high among both university lecturers and high school teachers in Thailand. Currently the video clip has 6500 views on Facebook. You can watch the 22 June session of the course on the EASTEM Thai team Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/eastem.eastemth.3/videos/123285939409670/?d=n

If you do not speak Thai, you can still get a feel for the ToT course by checking out the teaching materials/handouts in English accessible in CMU's Drive by this link: https://cmu.to/uKwvr

WP 4: At the online CDIO conference on 10 June, Siegfried Rouvrais (IMTA) presented the EASTEM project and the university-industry collaboration models we have developed. Around 30 academics from universities in Europe and Asia participated in the prestentations and discussions of four papers in the Parallel Session 12.2: Industrial Perspectives and Collaboration.
